can you imagine dean’s first shower after purgatory
he gets into whatever motel bathroom after he’s reunited with sam and the big relieved smile drops right off his face and he gets under the water to wash away the grime and the blood and the sweat and he lasts maybe two minutes before he crumples and sinks to the floor and just sobs
because he’s out and he’s free and everything is so overwhelming because he doesn’t have to be afraid every second of the day and cas is gone and sam’s moved on, he feels, and he doesn’t know what to do with himself anymore and he’s so tired and he doesn’t want to have to pretend to be okay but he knows if he doesn’t sam will worry
and when he comes out clean and refreshed the smile is back and he ruffles sam’s hair and makes small talk and acts totally alright
